Insch Skatepark

This park may be very old and / or in a state of disrepair so might not be worth visiting!

This is an outdoor metal skatepark consisting of a halfpipe, quarterpipe and a funbox along with a portable grind rail. All obstacles are made of metal and definitely show their age, the halfpipe and quarterpipe's coping doesn't stick out and the funbox has no coping. The bank ramp and stairs/rail on of the funbox don't have much flat ground surrounding them to perform tricks and the funbox and quarterpipe aren't lined up properly. The flatground also has some roughness and is a bit rocky in places.

There is a giant field used for football and stoney parking lot next to the park as well as a play park behind and a bridge connecting to the nearby golf club. Getting to the skate park requires walking through the play park or by the side of the leisure centre or parking your car in the back parking lot. The skate park is constantly filled with stones due to being displaced from the parking lot by cars or by people throwing stones. It can also have its fair share of litter with a bin being a considerable distance to walk and no plastic recycling units nearby.

On sunny days, the halfpipe can get pretty hot, luckily there are trees surrounding the rest of the park and the quarter pipe. The skate park is part of Bennachie Leisure Centre, the centre has a cafe, gym, toilets, changing rooms.
